When you watch Duality these days it might look a little outdated. But remember this film was originally made in 2001, and the extensive use of blue screen and CGI was extraordinary for its time.

Fan Films: TROOPS

Every Tuesday and Friday a Star Wars Fan Film is featured.

TROOPS is an old classic of the Star Wars Fan Film tradition. It was filmed in 1997, a time when Star Wars interest was reaching a fever pitch, the Special Editions had been released, and Episode I was only two years away. Check back every Tuesday and Friday for a new Fan Film entry. If you know of any Films that should make the cut be sure and send them in.

StarWars.com announced today that screenwriter Michael Arndt will no longer be writing for Star Wars Episode VII. Director J. J. Abrams and seasoned veteran Lawrence Kasdan (Co-writer for Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) will be the screenwriters moving forward. Star Wars’ Next Villain

Today during a panel at the New York Comic Con key new details were revealed about the upcoming animated series: Star Wars Rebels

During the panel Dave Filoni announced the identity of “The Inquisitor” a Jedi-hunting villain tasked by Vader to rid the empire of its enemies. Filoni also showed off a sculpture and images of the character (Click through to the source).

Star Wars Rebels is an upcoming animated series currently in production at Lucasfilm. This is one of several projects that has been announced since Lucasfilm’s acquisition by Disney. The series is set approximately 14 years after the events shown in Revenge of the Sith. This series will utilize imagery already familiar in the Star Wars universe (TIE fighters, star destroyers, stormtroopers) while introducing many new elements to the fans. Expected air date is sometime in 2014.
